The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority has appointed Howard Pincus, an eight-year resident of the Clematis District, chairman for the 2013-2014 term.
Pincus has been vice chair since 2011 and served on the DDA’s seven-member board for five years.
He follows Roy Assad, who has served three terms as chair and will stay as a board member.
Pincus moved to West Palm Beach in 2005 after more than 35 years in human resources. He’s also served as president of the Downtown Neighborhood Association.
Created in 1967 by a special act of the Legislature, the DDA attracts, retains and markets retail, dining, office, entertainment and cultural venues within its separate taxing district.
