The last day to file your taxes is April 15 (please tell me you didn’t forget that), and a number of restaurants and stores are offering dining deals to help make filing those taxes a little easier.
UDPATE: Here’s another one to add to the list:
The Color Bar Salon & Spa: This Stuart salon will be giving away free haircuts, valued at $25. The cut includes a shampoo and an “anti-stress” scalp and neck massage. However, blow drying your hair costs extra ($25 extra). Owners Chad and Tracy Inman say they want to help make a stressful day less so.
2133 S.E. Federal Highway, Stuart. 772-221-8855.
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro: Is offering 15 percent off on tax day in its “Tax Relief” promotion.
Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery: Participating locations will give away one free scoop of ice cream in its “e-cone-omic ice cream stimulus package.” Sadly, the closest Maggie Moo’s is in Fort Lauderdale.
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant: Head to Boca Raton for “Tax Relief Day,” featuring drink specials and a $10.40 entree menu. In addition, every taxpayer that comes in gets a $10.40 gift certificate for a future visit. (By the way, if you are as slow as I am: the $10.40 signifies the Form 1040 you fill out to do your taxes.)
Chick-fil-A: This is sure to be my editor’s favorite promotion — Eat at the locations in The Gardens Mall, Palm Beach Gardens and The Mall at Wellington Green and save your receipt. Bring the receipt back within the next 30 days starting April 16 and you can get the same items free. According to their press release, “Even the Internal Revenue Service can’t take that away.”
McDonald’s: Another favorite of my editor’s. South Florida customers can purchase a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder with Cheese sandwich for just one penny when the first one is purchased at regular price. Bring a friend!
Cinnabon: Sweeten up your tax day with free Classic Bites from 5-8 p.m.
Know of any other good deals on tax day? Let me know and I will add it to the blog!
